Just spoke to the cannabis clinic prescribing Dr. They were straight to " looks like you covered everything with the nurse I won't make you go back over that, do you know what you want, what's your tolerance like now?" and I'll have a script tomorrow for 10mg thc, CBD and cdn indica type gummies. I have zero tolerance right now so totally fine with lowish dose. I'm to check back in a month to see how I've gone, any adjustments to script etc

Woohoo!

It's early days but now that you have a script you can get set up with cannareviews.health and see basically every cannabis product available on the market and their cost. If budget is a concern you might find an oil a bit more bang for buck than gummies, for example. Btw 10mg THC is not a low dose for me, even half that would get me pretty toasty... Have fun :)

Thank you ๐Ÿ™ I plan to only have half to start and see how I go - definitely expecting to be toasted on half at the moment

3

I know this is some serious stuff but you gotta get some pretty lights and chill music to go with.

5mg is a very mild dose but with most drugs it's better to start light. You may be a little grey the next day too so at least for the first time be prepared for that.

Thanks โ˜บ๏ธ I am quite experienced with cannabis in general but just never had been through medical process - and also haven't used much at all since pre-covid

Back to melbs today. Proper purge with the cold swims. Good sleeps 10/10.

Had an interesting thing happen at the local IGA yesterday. Packing up the shopping ready to ride home. Ol' mate (maybe 60's) in hi viz randomly comes up and says "where you going? just jump in my truck and I'll take you home". Bruh... I'm like yeah nup.. he literally said "You're missing out" and walked off in a huff lol.

That's a first for me.

At bars and clubs occasionally get the odd dude having a crack but in broad daylight at the IGA asking a 40yo guy to get in your car.. whilst flattering, is pretty fukn hilarious.

ooh never heard of that book. Looks interesting might have to give it a read :)

random guy offering to help with groceries as a method used by predators to kidnap women is an actual example in the book

::: spoiler Salsa Verde is in progress :::

Next recipe in line: canned bruchetta topping

Edit: My salsa recipe said it would make 6 jars, so I doubled the recipe. Somehow I have ended up with 24 jars.

There's plenty of lamps in the world, another one will turn up. You could make a joke to the person about now needing a lamp yourself in case they've changed their minds.

Kudos to the RBA for another rate hike.

Really glad I get to pay more on my mortgage, whilst paying more for everything else too.

Grrrrrrrrrrrrr

5

rent will go up too

I see more and more houses for sale around here and they aren't selling, one has been on the market for a year now /

I don't mind admitting that I just don't get it. To me, people are struggling and cutting costs as it is. How does this help reduce inflation? If people are spending too much it's because things cost too much and they have little choice, like with insurance premiums and groceries. Surely if prices are rising too fast it's because some of our biggest companies (looking at you Coles/Woolies and insurance companies) are charging too much? Like I said, I don't get it.

I love that my home is filled with art and oddities stuff, but bloody heck itโ€™s tiering packing everything down for a move! At least this will be the last for a good while.

Exciting day. Day off work, I have to hang around until at maybe 12pm cos I have a minimum rental standards inspection from some third party. Then I have second medical cannabis phone call this time with a nurse. Then GP appointment for check up after starting blood pressure and cholesterol meds, will bring up medical cannabis and see how he feels. Somewhere in there I will have a tasty lunch!

5

I also have an exciting day. Mostly because of a car service. I'm planning to walk home, but I'm not entirely sure how I'm going to get through the roadwork section which is not particularly pedestrian friendly. I may be able to cut through a field, which given the current weather could end up very muddy.

When I do get home there is cooking to be done. I'm going to make a start with green tomato salsa and a tomato vegetable soup for canning - that one has lots of ingredients and will take a while.

Went to sleep at 8.30pm, woke up at 3.30am for a little bit. Back to sleep then awake at 11am.

I feel like all my summers are slipping by like bright fish in a rushing river.

Found an Australian youtuber who seems to specifically cover arcade racing games. His voiceovers aren't great but the passion is there so that's a follow from me

Ok second call with medical cannabis clinic went well I think, it was a nurse this time. More about medical history etc. Next is appointment with Dr, which could have been Friday morning but I'll be working so I made it Monday after work time. I think that will be more along the lines of what do I want to try, asking questions etc. and then hopefully getting a script ๐Ÿคž.

Edit: they actually just called to say they have an opening tonight so tonight it is

When I had mine, I basically told them, I'm over 40, my body hurts from exercise. I self medicate to sleep better and for recovery, and wanted a legal avenue.

No further questions :)

I was very honest with my approach. Told them I have an office job, don't drive much etc. The more info like that you give them, the more likely they'll be to prescribe.

I reckon don't tell them too much. Give one valid reason and keep quiet on the rest. A friend got rejected for an unrelated condition.

I told them everything and it drew the process out. They wanted to have a discussion about every topic and how it related to thc usage. Sore hands + bad sleep would've been fine.

3

On the one hand, they did their due diligence. On the other, stuff should be legal anyway without the need for all the hoopla

2

Is Facebook still trying to compete with Youtube? I've tried to upload some quite large video files recently and it has just given up

4

I've moved my office stuff upstairs so I can do all my tasks here and listen to music and mess around on net too

first up gotta read all the instructions on how to set up new aquarium equipment

3

I made it home without getting trapped in the mud. I don't think the shoes I had on where a good choice, a 40 minute walk and me feet are very sore. I'm definitely taking a cab when I pick the car up.

The little lake they've been working on as part of the drainage works is looking good, I hope they are planning some landscaping around it now that all the weeds and rubbish are cleared. Altough the ducks seem fairly happy with it even as is.
