It really does take a while. Especially if the community you're trying to grow is for a more niche topic

Ironically, PieFed translates OP's link style to something that works on our home instances, but the method that you brought up here allows broader adoption by helping people on Lemmy and Mbin do the same.

Agreed. PieFed is becoming a great community. In fact, I will argue it is better than the mainstream sites like reddit.

I was a daily reddit user since 2007. I made my PieFed account 3 weeks ago and haven't been back to reddit since.
