The entire LP was heavily political, and Michael Been leaned heavily into religious metaphor for many of the tracks on this album. Angry and righteous and given the times today - as the French say, "Plus ça change, plus ça reste le même.."

Also, Garth Hudson, the keyboard player for The Band played on this LP.
