I've chronic nosebleeds that just don't stop without intervention. (Last time I went to the ER for one they told me that a normal adult male has 16 units of blood and that, when I came in, I had 12. I passed out 3 or 4 times.)
Almost every time I've brought this up, someone has suggested stuffing a tampon up my nose. Every doctor who's ever seen me about nosebleeds has told me not to do that - not only do they not recommend letting noses bleed freely, but apparently tampons (unsurprisingly) expand as they collect blood, making them difficult to remove from nostrils.
Every time I've brought this up on Reddit or lemmy, I've been downvoted for saying it. I guess they make more sense for actual injuries, though.
A friend of mine had some very close calls with her health a few years ago and was in the hospital for several months. Afterwards she started wearing this hat:
A. I feel like it would make all these close calls Trump has allegedly survived more believable if he started doing the same
B. I would just really like to see a picture of Trump in this hat with a tampon dangling from his nose.
