Tearing protocol merged for XWayland. Wayland gets closer to being suitable for gaming purposes
Many Linux users have cited Wayland's forced vsync as a blocker for gaming related scenarios. This patch adds tearing support into Xwayland!

And here I am, having gamed on Wayland for years. :)
Some people are more sensitive to input latency and frame stutter than others. Personally I think they're very important things to optimize for and make a big difference for how games feel and play on a platform.
Oh yes, always good to have them improve it more and more. :)

I am impatient for all this stuff as well, but I guess it is important to get this stuff right as Wayland will probably be the basis of the Linux graphics stack for the next two decades.
LFG that was something I've been hoping got added! I'm not even a big gamer, but I like it when I do game.
