Glad our taxes are not being wasted on anything useless like hospital beds or community centres.

Less of everything in fact, community care to foreign investment.

Yes, I don't think they will be in government but it's certainly possible

1

Are we surprised? You've all seen the list of members of 'Labour Friends of Israel', right? The entire political system is infested.

Baalbek? That's an important archaeological site, horrible to think of the destruction of the world's history for this bullshit war, in a way that will match or exceed the Iraq war. US troops set up on the ruins of a temple complex in Baghdad and immediately started shoveling sand into bags to make fortifications. Truly a disgusting loss to our shared humanity.

7

If people liked ISIS bombing ancient heritage monuments then they're gonna love Israel

Not sure how many people like ISIS but let's hope for Israel it's a lot.

11

Baalbak is a city with a lot of targets during any period of bombing. Mercifully the temple complex site has never been hit and it hopefully stays that way.

They’re not above it though. They hit the archeological site in Sour/Tyre in the 2024 airstrikes though, and even though dozens of people and medics were murdered by then, my blood boiled white hot after that, I was angrier about it than the mass murder. I think the precision strikes on ambulances came after and those pissed me off even more though.

It’s never a good sign when you have an internal conflict about whether you’re a good person or not because you’re more mad about a bunch of old rocks getting pulverized than people like you being murdered.

They’ll fucking do it, they don’t care. They don’t think we’re people, they obviously don’t think our heritage matters, especially not in a poor city they routinely terrorize.

Israel would use their own drones. Why use the RAF? Seems more likely it's the UK gathering intel on what Israel is doing.

3
feddit.uk

israel and the uk are the same side

they wouldn't be flying over gaza/lebanon without coordination with israel, so it's obvious reconnaissance for israel/nato

The UK has been criticising Israel for attacking Lebanon though.

Like I said, if Israel wanted recon they can just use their own drones. Seems like people are jumping to the conclusion that we're gathering intel for Israel rather than collecting our own Intel to get an idea of what's going on.

5

Critisizing israel but still sell wespons, share intel and impose no sanctions on the state of israel itself. That's called hypocrisy

They literally arrest you for supporting Palestine in the UK.

7

They'll arrest you for supporting Palestine Action which has been designated a terrorist group by the government. You wouldn't be arrested for peacefully protesting and supporting the Palistinian cause.

3

Why was it designated a terrorist group. Who have they killed and what crimes against civilians have they committed?

I am being rhetorical of course and besides it has already been determined unlawful.

It is clear they attempted to illegally suppress human rights in support of Isreal.

JTAC based their assessment largely on the Filton incident where a police officer suffered possibly life-changing injuries after a PA member attacked them repeatedly with a sledgehammer.

The underlying basis was the definition used in the Terrorism Act, of a group that commits serious damage to property in order to influence government policy. The UK is one of the few places to have such a broad definition.

0

Oh gosh one person severely injured, that is horrible. I am truly sorry for their suffering as no one deserves treatment like that.

On the other hand there have been a verifiable 172,000 Palestinian injuries with over 72,000 estimated deaths.

The government knew full well what they were doing and anyone defending it should be ashamed to defend this abuse of human rights. There is no doubt in my mind about this because it is a verifiable pattern.

Just like UKs support of Israel.

8

Of course when the video was released to the courts it showed it was the police officer doing the brutalising on the protester. Not surprising the police would lie.

I'm not arguing about the designation, that's up to the government. However the people that been arrested for holding up the signs knew exactly what they where doing and had been warned before their arrests. They were protesting the proscription of Palistine Action rather than generally supporting Palistine.

We will find out how it all plays out once the appeals process is completed.

-3

Yeah I am not sure that is accurate to say people were only protesting the act of it being banned. I am sure the majority also supports ending the genocide that the UK refuses to designate as such.

When you can excuse human rights abuses it is all pretty much moot anyways.

4

Iranians who protested the regime knew what would happen to them with your dumb logic I get it was fine what the Iranisn regime did

Not sure if true, since you're an hasbara cunt but if if he wasn't killed it's definitely BAD luck.

No, designated as a terrorist group because they broke into an RAF base and damaged aircraft.

Criticising Israel and opposing genocide is perfectly valid, attacking a country that's stuck in the middle of it because you don't like that they're embroiled in a 100 year old mess they've been trying to mediate the whole time, is a different thing entirely.

If Palestinian action wanted to make a difference they'd target the Israeli embassy but they didn't, because they're not protestors they're saboteurs.

-1

Uk leadership should rot in jail for selling arms for a settler colonial power called Israel . The united kingdom is sponsoring Israeli terrorism . Yes those who infiltrated it are saboteurs sabotaging military targets complicit with genocide . Palestine action is just like antifa a decentralized group each member is responsible for it's own actions. The High Court recently ruled that this proscription was unlawful too but because the uk support genocide they still want to arrest people.

1

Might be both. Tell Israel it's to help, but make records to make the case to exit the war. That or blackmail Isreal to moderate themselves, but they have no shame so I don't think it's that.

1

Israel wouldnt let a foreign military anywhere near the region unless it was coordinated Israel is an extension of western foreign policy

RAF bases in the UK are used to load up US B2 bombers which bomb Iran. The UK is lockstep with Israel.

Why wouldn't Israel have a free spy plane fly for them?

I'm sure Israel can spare a single drone to fly over Lebanon, they don't need to use anyone else to do that for them.
