My account was banned because I said "Clanker" under a TF2 meme and I told a zoophile to stop posting on a dinosaur subreddit. Their account remains unbanned but I was IP Banned.

I left reddit because I was upset about them killing the RIF app during the API thing a few years back. It was a bit of a transition to get used to Lemmy but after weeks/months I got use to Lemmy and am more than happy to never use reddit again. I hope reddit dies. Every time they use the censorship hammer to silence users, it vindicates the existence of Lemmy and I welcome all former redditors. Also I definitely posted content on Lemmy that reddit would have censored.
currently here again because they recently removed r/all. I tried a while ago when they killed RIF but there wasn't enough content/users to really keep me engaged, and now there is.
I still have to sometimes post the content that I want to see on Lemmy. and I find a lot of benefits to a smaller community that doesn't seek out fake internet points.

Nope, it was a user named Manglisaurus I think, probably spelt that wrong but like i said they haven't been banned. You can still find ghost stories about them on the r/okbuddypaleo subreddit lmao
At least you know what you did - not that it was ban-worthy! - I was inactive for a bit and when I tried to log in one day I found out my main account was banned. Logged into a joke alt I'd made in the past, and tried to find out what happened: boom, ban evasion! Now I'm IP blocked too and I still have no idea why.

As a member of rather niche subreddits I must admit that the quality of users are going downhill as the content gets more popular. Science now is getting polluted by commoners and their Dunning Kruger stupidity and you can’t even correct them because it’s not political appropriate anymore . My account was recently banned for cussing at the mods of BlackPeopleofReddit. I responded to one of their messages about a post removal with, "fucking racist"...as a sarcastic joke. Reddit says it's an automatic 3-day suspension for using profanity in messages with mods, irrespective of the context.
I just got IP banned for accidentally posting using an alt account in a sub I was banned from several years ago- because Reddit removes filters from blocked subs in their own groups. So you can’t really know if you’re violating the rules unless you keep a notepad nearby when cruising the bots on Reddit.

I feel ya, I was banned for "spreading hate" because there was a discussion about Muslims integrating into western countries. I said I saw a show on BBC news about it and that some Muslims were having difficulties according to them. Then I was banned, I don't even live in the UK I have zero idea if what they said is true, just that it was a show on BBC news.
I was banned cuz I once asked a witch, being very naive and want to actually know about the propaganda, that do you guys use children blood. The guy whom I asked said no. But somehow mod thought it is antisemitic as the witch was a Jew and then first removed my comment, then banned me from server, then I got temporary ban and that ban turned into permanent ban. Now I tried to regain my account, but they have not listened to my appeal.
