Cool! I wonder how it would work technically, is it just going to be an OTA update to existing POS terminals, or will businesses need to get a new one? Either way, anything to stop using the payment processor duopoly is a good thing.
They are developing a separate app called Bizum Pay that will act as a wallet and you should be able to pay with it via NFC. What we don't know is if the payment devices stores have will require an update, upgrade or replacement.

No, it doesn’t replace a bank and to be able to pay with NFC, the app will have to be updated first I guess.
