Why don't OBS Studio developers show VP9 if there is an Intel igpu that supports its encoding? Intel igpu supports VP9 8-Bit encoding since Kaby Lake (2016)

OBS has the option to use vp9_qsv in Custom Output (FFmpeg) and it works great.

Since vp9_qsv is already available and functional via FFmpeg custom output, why isn't it exposed as a first-class encoder option in the Simple/Advanced output modes?

You have mp4 selected in the recording format, vp9 is not supported in mp4 as far as i can tell, if you change it to matroska (mkv) does it then work?

Edit: I just opened OBS and checked the settings, it will say "(Incompatible with [insert format])" so that's not it.
