Due to the reasons mentioned in the previous pinned post

What reasons? What previous pinned post? I can't see this here or on the crosspost community.

"he tried to hit me, so I hit him and I haven't stopped yet"

Sound logic indeed.

It's worth clarifying that uncovering someone's identity isn't a crime, but ddos is. Just on the chance you weren't aware of such an important distinction.

Which is something you can fight in court, not by committing another crime

Well, in that case I guess it’s okay to commit crimes and distort information as an archiving service. Anonymity above all

I prefer that over dealing with paywalls.

For many sites like for example spiegel.de and derstandard.at … there are simply no working alternatives.

I've now started reading taz.de instead, they dony't have a paywall. You can even read them via Gopher and Gemini, which is really really useful when on a train in Germany and the bits slowly drip...

taz is an opinionated leftist publication - which is not a bad thing, I read them too - but they don’t really work as a main source of information because of their extreme bias.

I read them because there are a lot of op'eds. I like seeing different views, pros and cons and even if my opinion is not covered, it is helpful to learn how others arrive at their opinion.
