SPOILER I was bored and began thinking about what I would do if I were in game, so here it is, I was wondering if y'all think anything wouldn't work or not be worth it

First of all I think it would make more sense to move their HQ from the regional control center to the Odyssey. It might seem a bit strange at first but hear me out

Based from the ending of FW, it seems Aloy is going to be getting help from tribes from all over, wouldn't it make more sense to have their HQ that everyone neets up at is mobile and in orbit so that it's easier for everyone to get to, considering they now have a mostly automated launch shuttle

Plus the Odyssey would have infrastructure on it that might not even exist in a form that humans can use anymore on earth, we saw the printing tech that the zeniths had, it's safe to say they have atleast 1 if those aboard the Odyssey. Imagine if the group used it to mass produce things like focuses, it would differently help to keep everyone they recruited coordinated

Then there is the problem of how old the stuff they're currently using is, the most important thing they currently have, Gaia, is currently stored on servers that have gone hundreds of years without any maintenance in a facility that was never meant to store so much data, I know Gaia tells us the place was meant to store a lot, but compare the RC to Gaia prime. The Odyssey, although as mentioned by Sylens, was probably left without maintenance for hundreds of years as well, but the difference is

1 as a mentioned it has insane manufacturing tech

2 it was actually intended to store such large amounts of data

Then they's probably one thing that I feel I should mention though I highly doubt they would make use of that possibility

The Odyssey is the perfect backup plan incase they fail to find a way to stop nemesis

Think about it, there's no guarantee that they'd be able to find a way to defeat nemesis in time, so although they're currently choosing to stay on earth to fight nemesis, what if they fail? The Odyssey, if they move Gaia to it, is literally the best thing they could have in that scenario, it already has everything needed to jumpstart an entire biosphere stored on it and the zeniths spent from what we could tell the overwhelming majority of their time after they returned to earth improving and restalking it resources

It makes sense to have it as a last ditch effort for a chance of life being saved if they fail without having to give everything up while they might still have a chance at stopping it

Next, I think it would make sense for them to follow Hephaestus' lead and try to brute force control over atleast some cauldrons, think about it, if Hephaestus is able to break into cauldrons despite the fact it would normally need Gaia to take control of them, then why can't Gaia do the same?

Even if not anywhere near a global scale, it would certainly help their efforts to decrease Hephaestus' power and if done in certain areas possiblely help reduce the amount of dangerous machines near settlements

Then also there's a gameplay aspect to be considered, actually making the Odyssey explorable is probably going to be a bit difficult unless we can only explore a relatively small section of it, since from what we can see from holograms, it would need to have gravity that doesn't go just one way, but inside changes to let Aloy walk around the large ring shown

But aside from that, it would also help to get the same experience of exploring a high tech place that you've decided to call home that we got in FW but without feeling to much like a copy paste. It could be old in areas that were mostly left untouched by the zeniths, but then in other areas that the zeniths upgraded and refurbished be super high tech, which would probably be very interesting if done right
