Load that bad boy up and give 20 minutes to something new to see if you like it. I have never regretted doing it
Idk that it is. Humble Bundle is partly to blame for my collection. You see deals where there’s like a game or two you want and just buy the lot. The other part is nostalgia purchases that you tell yourself you’ll play and then don’t. The last part is friends telling you “dude we gotta play this game” so you buy it, then it’s dead after a week or so due to another game or scheduling conflicts, or your one friend hosts the game and is never on when y’all are.
I always play them at least a little bit if I paid for them. What if they suck? There's a cutoff for when they can be refunded. I can play for 15-20 minutes and determine if I want to play more. If not, I'll just take my money back.
Years ago steam was selling games at much better discounts, but the games were non-refundable. I still have a lot of unplayed games I bought at that time.
After they made the games refundable, the discounts are much worse and I'm following your approach.

A reminder that you can share your games with friends using Family Share and expand your and your friends' library by a lot without spending a dime.

It's still a feature, a decent one despite some restrictions here and there. I use it myself and get an extra copy if the publisher restricts sharing.

I miss playable demos, where you could play part of a game to see if you like it. I played so many shareware games and demo CDs when I was young.

Definitely bought bundles because a game looked cool and never played any of them.
