Such an iconic machine. One that I hardly ever drive in sims because I can't keep a handle on it at pace, unfortunately. I have no idea how Munari and Waldegard managed to do it in real life

Same! I think I tried it once a long time ago and immediately wrote it off haha. But actually, as I've discovered this time round and in the videos, if you drive with real caution and respect to start with, you get a sense of how the car behaves and can slowly ramp up the aggression you put into it. Very satisfying learning experience tbh

Gonna post this over on the soulslike community as the polite version of "git gud"

But nah seriously I do want to take the time to learn it. I've got too many games in my backlog to justify buying ACR in early access (including AC Evo, for one), but it's really promising seeing stuff like this. You seem like you had a great time with it

Yeah I totally feel you there. I very nearly pulled the trigger on Evo but then they announced that they weren't doing the free roam or something which was like the main selling point imo. Otherwise it's just....Assetto Corsa again 🤷‍♂️

Freeroam is still coming, unless I missed something! They released a trailer about it just a couple months back and have still been talking about it in interviews about the current controversy (scrapping the model for a career mode based on buying cars with money like in Gran Turismo)

I normally like to avoid early access, but I grabbed ACE when it was cheap enough that I would be okay if it failed. I've just been dipping in and out since then to check out each update. Doing a Nurburgring tourist layout track day with a friend was a lot of fun in the current one
