Oh yeah, one of my hang–ups about piercing is the dread of being overwhelmed by choice. I'm bad enough with clothes. I'm not ready for a new type of decision paralysis yet.
i just bought everything over the first year of having pierced ears. i recently added two piercings (+one helix), to make efficient use of all that metal. :)))
i wanted this so hard. for over 20 years. i will add a nosering in summer. ;)
i am a bit shy when it comes to face-pics on the web. it's a shame yesterdays makeup was so great i even sent my slightly transphobic parents a pic! (out of spite.) anyway hears my ere:
toxicity isn't a one way street. this whole trans thing makes them quite uncomfortable, so i send them the bestest pics, which they then ignore. i won't stop untill they either say the stuff they are yet 'too polite' to voice, or politely acknolegde my existence. 🥲
Ive been considering it lately. I use mostly cuffs and a few clip-ons now, but my ears are really sensitive. Hoping piercing helps. Just so expensive at most reputable places these days and I want to get both lobes and conch since I wear a lot of conch cuffs now.
I've always had problems with earrings with backs on them, Regardless of metal.
If you find you end up with the same issue (it's common) I have a solution.
I buy 16 gauge bar bell earrings. Like the kind for nip piercings. The ones for belly button also work but those usually are 14 gauge (thicker). They come with a ball on each side and you can get them where one side is a rhinestone.
That's what I wear.
They stay in. They don't get caught in my hair like hoops. But they are loose enough that the back isn't right up to the skin so it doesn't cause me any problems.
Just thought I'd share that tip.
It literally took me about 15 years to figure out how to wear "stud-like" earrings. I always had to keep hoops in them before.
