I sometimes disagree with this video when it comes to frugalism. Frugalism is more than breaking the cycle of overconsumption and over-wanting to consume. But from a simple living perspective, breaking from always wanting more and enjoy the abondance we already have is a clear win.

I think she just means she doesn't like frugality as a form of asceticism and self-denial, she thinks there should be room for joy and "frivolous" spending within reason. (Her point is that frugality is sometimes viewed as a normative call to reduce spending to only essentials, and that isn't necessarily a happy or healthy approach.)
