Is anyone else having issues with links posting as images?
What i mean is, that when i post a link, others are saying that all they see is a picture. it displays as a link to me, but others are saying that it's just a link to a picture. Anyone else?

Yeah it is a bug in lemmy. We put the image first in the attachements and lemmy only uses the first attachement. A fix is on its way with the next release :)
thanks. Do you know when it might be released? are we talking a couple days? a month?
We usually try to do it towards the end of the month, but this one will take a couple of weeks longer I think. There are a couple of very big improvements on its way and it takes a bit of time.

some clients auto-expand the image and some dont. ive seen many lemmy comment images that do not auto-display on the mbin web interface.. theres a button on the front of the link to show it manually, in-line

I don't think that's the same thing. what happens is, when mbin federates to lemmy, it only has a picture, not a link to the article. As in, I posted a link to an article on mbin, and on mbin it displays correctly, but on lemmy, it only links to a picture, not the article. I found a github issue on the topic, and they are already aware of it. But it's been i think a month and a half. I'd have thought such a breaking bug would have been higher priority. But such is life.

Will keep this post up in case anyone else finds the same bug.
