[WWE PR] Dude Wipes Sponsoring Dominik Mysterio | Official WWE Partner
We joked about this happening, now it's not a joke anymore. WWE is putting ads on their wrestlers.
Intercontinental Champion Dominik Mysterio, known for his rebellious in-ring persona and cultural resonance, will participate in a first-of-its-kind integration in which his signature gear will feature DUDE Wipes branding during every in-ring appearance on WWE programming, including Monday Night Raw and various PLEs. The integration debuted this past Monday on Raw, when Mysterio returned to in-ring action wearing his recognizable bandana rib cage t-shirt incorporated with DUDE Wipes branding.
EDIT: Fixed Domink to Dominik in title.
I love how they write this like slapping an ad for unnecessarily gendered ass wipes on a wrestler's gear is some sort of revolutionary paradigm shift.
I don't entirely hate the concept of Dude Wipes, mind. With all the manosphere influencers seemingly trying to discourage men from having proper hygiene, it's probably a good thing that someone is swimming upstream and trying to get them to clean their ass. But I do find their whole thing incredibly silly, not to mention this "unprecedented integration".
PSA: Dude Wipes are bad for your plumbing, never flush them no matter what the packaging says!
Other than that, yeah, I've been to enough indy shows in my time, and a couple of WWE shows back in the early 00s to know, fans are in need of helpful hygiene products.
My problem is entirely on WWE pushing ads everywhere, and now onto people apparently.
Thanks for the PSA there. It's not just Dude Wipes either; any "flushable" wipe is not.
I don't follow wrestling but I do remember seeing a screenshot of a match where Rey Mysterio wrestled for custody of Dominik Mysterio against someone else. It was a ladder match.
It was Eddie Guerrero. They still play off of that today, Dominik calls Rey a deadbeat dad and says Eddie was his real father.
i cant believe they took one of their coolest characters and turned him into a corporate simp
Good to know Dominik doesn't have an itchy ass
How is this different from Brock having the Jimmy John's logo on his shorts? I guess that started when he was doing MMA so maybe the deal was with Brock himself, so now WWE can get a bigger piece of the pie.
That's how I understand it, Brock had a deal on his own from his UFC days. This appears to be WWE doing it themselves, not the wrestlers, I hope that Dom is getting some money in exchange though, or at least a case of free wipes every week.
