I wish they'd at least release the controller. I know they probably want to do it all at once but that shouldn't be delayed with the rest of it if that's all I want.

I hope that's what they'll do. The controller is all I need right now; if prices weren't so fucked I'd get a Steam Frame but nah

I'm also really jonesing for the controller. Tho I have a few dualsense and xbox controllers so I don't NEED it exactly. especially since I'm basically only playing Space Station 14 lately which very much requires keyboard and mouse

I adore the Steam Deck inputs and having that in a standalone controller is just awesome, plus it'll make for a great remote control for my pc in desktop mode.

The gyro would be awesome for Wii emulation. Only things I miss from the OG Steam Controller are the two-stage triggers.

Fuck I was so eager for the frame, but as a standalone device it'll surely be impacted as well…

Yeah my first thought was that Frame should be ok since my intended use-case was "connected to Steam PC via the wireless transceiver" but then I AI remembered it can run standalone so would also need storage, RAM, and a strong enough processor to handle all that.

Now I'm kinda thinking it would be cool if the Frame was more like an updated Index with wireless, local tracking etc etc and an optional daughter-board - for standalone gameplay functionality - that could be connected later or even allow upgrades.

eh even without high RAM Prices i just cant imagine the Console being able to be affordable at all >.> Like if were talking 600 - 800 Euros then at that Point you can get a PC honestly >.>
