People do upload shows and movies to YouTube, but if you go to the official page for the show and it's not free... then either a mistake was made, or that channel is about to be hit with a copyright strike.
Internet Archive seems to be scraping a lot of shows in SD. Still not legal, but more reliable than YouTube, albeit requiring direct download.
