Good advice. Apart from knowing the layout of the pits, it's handy to get a sense for how fast you can approach the pit lane without getting pinged for speeding. Also, some overlays and external programs need a drive through of the pit lane to estimate pit delta accurately (for fuel calculators and such)
Sure enough, you can see that I was also too early on the brakes in this clip!
