At least they're calling it an "alternative" instead of a competitor, but honestly I wish every windows or Android based would stop being compared to the deck.
The deck is special because of the custom OS. A lot of what it does is possible because of special features of that OS.
Android or Windows based machines have their place but neither is all that similar to the deck.
I feel like I'm in some crazy minority here, thinking that none of these competitors are even worth considering without trackpads and back buttons. Handheld PCs just don't work without them.
The new players have to learn the hard way why the Steam Deck was successful.
Nintendo just waiting for the thing to go on sale to drop their lawsuits.
