Using a bidet means spraying your butthole with water to clean it after shitting.

Will probably switch to towels tho

I don't even use old newspapers now. I open a random news site on my phone and whipe my asshole with it to save trees.

Well, in the US at least, there are more trees now than when the settlers landed at Plymouth Rock. I don't think the toilet paper industry is killing the planet.

How many of those trees are part of actual forests and not just monoculture wood farms? Also, source?

Oh the natural forests on this continent are in awful shape, but it's only partly because of logging. The current major problem is invasive species and diseases. The American chestnut is a particularly bad victim of this.

My shower thought of the day is wondering if the bidet vs toilet paper thing is a guy argument.

Because I definitely need to wipe when I piss. I can't just aim, fire, and shake it dry, and being wet there would just make me wonder if it was water or urune.

(Disclaimer: I don't actually know if guys do that. I haven't exactly watched. Going off what I've heard and it kinda makes sense I guess?)

Well look I understand if you don't want to be more specific, but without specifics there's no point bringing it up, is there.

Anyway, Makeshift was asking if it was a guy thing, so if bidets were popular with non-op trans women, that would still mean it wasn't. Ditto for enbies like Myself, regardless of anatomy.

I think there's a lot of social value in being intentionally literal in these kinds of situations, when we don't want to allow two terms such as sex and gender to be conflated. Remember that your ability to understand others is within your control, and you must therefore use it responsibly. There are times when you can choose to understand someone, but that doesn't mean you should.

Are people actually smug about using recycled toilet paper? There is no possible way it actually has a major effect on anything.

4

Who Gives a Crap? had us piled up with toilet paper during the pandemic when everyone else was searching grocery store after grocery store for rolls.
