I wouldn't put Deanna or The Doctor on this list since they're fairly neurotypical.

Extreme narcissistic and egotistical behavior is probably a sign there is something much deeper going on. Of all the categories I could put the Dr in, neurotypical probably wouldn't be one of them.

Extreme? I mean he’s a bit self centered but i wouldn’t call him narcissistic or egotistical. The few times in the series he’s a complete whack job is due to his programming being corrupted

His entire version line had to be decommissioned because of their personality problems. That's not just his programming being corrupted.

He, as a person, worked very hard to overcome those problems... but he still has them.

The EMH mark 1 was discontinued (only as a doctor, they continued to operate as miners) for being irritable and having bad bedside manner, not because they were narcissistic. They were based on Zimmerman's personality who was also a bit brusque and irritable. Those qualities are fine in an engineer, not so much in a doctor.

So that's why Zimmerman was an outcast who only had holograms to keep him company? He was a bit brusque? The only other person that tried to keep him company was Barclay, largely because he saw a lot of himself in Zimmerman.

Like I said, it's something to be worked on, not necessarily a fatal flaw... but to downplay it like you are is vastly under stating his issues.

I'm not saying they don't have personality problems just that they are pretty neurotypical. Being self centered isn't autism.

Fair. "Extreme" was probably too strong. Still, I still believe it goes a little further than being just self-centered. He is just too quick to stroke his own ego for various accomplishments. It's not that I hate the character at all, it's just how I see him.

The doctor may not be autistic he is far from being neurotypical and definitely strange enough to be loved by other neurodivergents.

I wouldn’t call Janeway autistic either.

No you see, unless their name is Archer, Kirk, Pike, Picard, Sisko, Janeway, Freeman or Burnham, they aren't main characters. /s

They didn't include the T U R B O A U T I S T I C category on this chart, sorry for your exclusion

Any idea what being a Quark fan means? Asking for a friend.

I thought Janeway was Seven of Nine at first, and was sad to find out I was wrong...

I did multiple autism tests and I failed all of them. I still love star trek though...
