This seems like a company that's gonna make taking sick time a real problem.

My job just made it so they won't accept a doctor's note as an excuse on why you're not working.

Do you happen to work in a prison? As a prisoner? That sounds awful.

I'd tell you to find new employment but that isn't always a realistic solution.

Nah I work in a slaughterhouse pulling cow carcusses onto the line to get sanitized and cut up for shipping.

Lmao. One of my first job interview when I was 18 and inexperienced. The interviewer asked me "How often is it acceptable to call out of work?". My dumbass said "I dunno, once a month? More than that and you'd be unreliable, though it depends on the circumstances."

He get a strange look on his face and I never heard from them again.

Well it wasn't my first interview. That one was for a server/cashier position at a restaurant. I get there and they said they would make me a dishwasher and then said "and the pay... whatever minimum wage is now." I left.

It would depend on the schedule. If they can "schedule" me the morning of without any advance notice, then my number will be 365.

I once got a question that asked how many times you'd lied about calling in sick at previous jobs. It was multiple choice and 0 was not an option. Instead of lying, I just exited the application. I didn't really want to work at Red Robin anyway.

So ... Weekends, holidays, vacation. Did I forgot anything? That is a large number.
