I realized that I had everything I need to bind my own journal for other projects so I decided to give it a go!

It was surprisingly straightforward to get something half decent, I definitely recommend giving it a go especially since it's in your blood :)
Nice! Which part was the most challenging to do?
Mainly just keeping everything square! The glue up of the wrap was a bit nerve-wracking just because I didn't want to ruin it right at the end haha
I -just- bought some bookbinding supplies to start learning. My first two tries look no where as nice as this, then I remembered online tutorials are a thing.
There is something nice about trying things blind like that though, you get to flex your problem solving skills! If you're comfortable I'm sure the community would love to see your work :)
That's true, you discover a lot of rules that have already been written, but remember them better because you understand why they're there.

I'll cross post my next binding attempt here. I'm working on a little burnt-edge notebook for a friend, I just didn't like the hard spine I made, so I'm waiting on a leather order to come in.
