It turns out he was in the right — indeed, there are times that street becomes two-way. Of course, he was still wrong in the sense that his license was expired, but that's a completely different argument and is just moving the goalposts. 100% of the reason why people are mad at him is because he allegedly counterflowed and had the audacity to mock who filmed it.
Basically, I absolutely hate Hawthorne Effect. Someone who has a camera would deliberately agitate people, film it, and act like they're level-headed in the clip.
Vigilantism is the consequence of a failed system of law enforcement and justice, where it's mostly the privileged and powerful who get the most out of those. It is also why it has resulted in the Tulfos literally being worshipped as arbiters of justice, and why Dutertes still have a cult around them.
Makes me think how for decades a lot of nice things were destroyed for scrap materials or for entertainment -- like this Pontiac GTO -- and now many are scrambling to find and pay hugely for antiques.

Really great. I don't even have to turn the fan on most of the time because it's so chilly. Reminds me of the Jan-Feb weather in 2015 when I'd go to lunch in Makati and despite the sun rays it feels like I'm in Benguet.
Nights these days are relatively colder, around 25C° to sometimes 23C°, and once I saw 22C°. To the point that turning on a fan is usually enough. But I'm also preparing for the hell months April and May lol
The best way to watch Forgotten Island is in Trinoma A Giant. Pair the big screen with 3D visuals and Dolby Atmos sound, the film feels so much better. I have already experienced 3D before, especially in IMAX at MOA for Wicked For Good and it was a blurfest that was very annoying to watch. Forgotten Island's 3D works so well as it adds depth to the really great visuals. Dolby Atmos also makes the movie feel better as it has so much background sound effects, the traditional cinema may drown the important conversations and give it less impact. Also, the seats at Trinoma are not full. I hope Avengers Endgame Encore doesn't replace its schedule at A giant yet as there is barely anyone watching even if it's a weekend.
A Giant is the best way to watch any movie, full stop. You get the communal experience of a movie theater with the largest capacity available and since our IMAX are all fake, might as well go to A Cinema.
I'm divided with my opinion on Forgotten Island, though. I like the deeper story and the animation style and it's such a shame not many non-Filipinos are going to know that because they're either going to be turned off by the overt Filipino marketing or will watch Verity instead.
That said, the major niggle for me is that the Filipino references are just too distracting because of how obvious that it's the recollections of a Fil-Am — and it reminded me of how annoying my relatives are with the way they pretend to care about their heritage only when it's convenient and for validation.
I mean, 7PM tapos may araw pa? A picture of Jesus hanging directly on top of the lechon outside the house? An aspin who loves fetch? Sa Pinas ginaganap yung send-away party and everyone speaks in a Bay Area American accent na dudulas lang when they need to say Tam Krus (Tom Cruise)? "Tayo na" when it should be "tara na" especially when you're teenagers? Pati nga yung kakausapin principal is Westernized — nobody ever waits outside the office.
This place is getting funnier with every month passing by, mostly angry progressive Americans and Europeans remotely hoping for an eventual huge revolution for which to overthrow governments and capitalism, which leads to... who's gonna lead them once they take over?
They should be reading Animal Farm to make sure they're not putting another despot in power.
I just cannot get behind P-POP, sorry. KPOP I can sorta enjoy because of the varied influences and elements they incorporate into their songs sometimes (e.g. Supernova Love, Supershy, Catch Me if You Can), but P-POP is just the worst parts of KPOP dialed up to eleven.
I tried listening to SB19, and could only stomach a few seconds. Tried G22, Xonara, and similar groups and the "uh huh, uh huh yeah" rapping that dominates the songs is insufferable. Bini is okay, but I wouldn't go out of my way to play any of their songs.
J-pop has a long and storied history which began with enka, but then K-pop borrows much of J-pop's aspects, styling, lyricism and business model which the Koreans then taken to severe lengths along with infusing their own aesthetics/image. Which is then the mostly aesthetic what much of so-called P-pop is now derived from K-pop, and that has become the selling point rather than the sophistication of the lyrics.
