I'm using Voyager, and I thought "we have that?"

Turns out you have to turn the feature on in the settings.

Thanks for the heads-up, person who is getting tagged.

I like the color coding too. People who misbehave get red tags so I know without even reading the tag to expect shenanigans. Excellent humans get a green tag.

Aww. I like red, but I get it.

Time to start misbehaving!

Deal, and from your screenshot, I just learned that you can track votes too!

I'm learning so much today.

It's a good feature, I just wish I knew how to make it appear on posts and comments.

I think you nailed the most passive-agressive way to get your point across. Thanks for the chuckle.

Not sure about posts as I guess I haven't tagged anyone, and then seen a post from them. On comments, tho, it automatically appears right under the username for me.

Just tested using OP, and it doesn't seem to appear on the post. I'm tired & going to sleep, but will test more later, and submit a bug report if appropriate.

What I miss from RES is that the tag used to link to the comment the tag was made on.

Hahaha I know exactly who this is talking about. They hallucinate sources and hang onto issues from 10+ years ago that were solved within a year after they happen.

You'll commonly find this guy in any Gaben or steam thread. Definitely try having a conversation with this one, it's entertaining

I wonder if they're ai and if you told them "not to hallucinate" if they'd be able to give you what you asked for.

Same. Also makes it easier if I change instances in the future. Everyone I block gets a tag so I know in the future. I just wish I could change the green background to whatever color I want, on a per tag basis.

But I love boost other than this :( Does voyager work with Piefed like boost?

3
piefed.ca

Yes* but voyager has other issues that haven't been addressed (especially with piefed), and they have bad updates like hijacking the share button to their own instance instead of the one you are on, or the original post's instance.

Edit: Summit supports custom tag colours per user though!

But you can export your account settings which includes blocks and import them into the new account

3

Yes, but this requires no exporting or other actions. Once a user tag is created, that's all that's needed.

1

As long as we're wishing, I wish it integrated with the web UI tags.

I should add cloud backup functionality.

Pretty sure some boost users tried to have me tagged as a Nazi at one point. Might have been because of my support of Ukraine.

"Have you tagged"? These tags are by users, and not federated or shared between Boost users. If they wanted to tag you, they didn't have to try, it's built into boost (but not shared like you may be implying)

Boost is just an app, I don't think there's a specific "they" here.. it's not even an instance. You're on the community for Boost, the Android app. You're basically saying that all of us here told you that.

feddit.online

I never accused "boost" of anything, just some random users I didn't deign to remember the names of.

For someone who was "pretty sure", you don't actually seem pretty sure of a whole lot.

What's with the downvotes? I just shared a funny story and I'm getting a ton of hostility.

1

The only thing you know about me is I support Ukraine and you tag me as a Nazi, that tells people more about you than me.

3

It's equivalent to one user placing a sticky note on your back only one said user can see. If you're good at memorizing usernames it's the same shit

4

Might have been because of my support of Ukraine.

Lol sure it was.

4

I've been getting weird aggro from people on here lately, it often feels inorganic and contrived. Something is up.

4

Same. I've been thinking about seeing if it's a specific time of day or instance it's coming from, but I'm lazy
