Hey, don't post that. It includes my wifi password:

During the night shift he could just lock out the turbolifts, flood the life support system with neurazine gas, and beam the crew into space for good measure. Five, ten minutes tops.

Well, we saw him capable of impersonating the captain's voice with 100% accuracy, create a long ass command code, and give himself full command of the ship while locking out all senior staff.

That was after he caused an atmosphere issue on the bridge and made everyone clear out.

So I would way... Within seconds.

Counterpoint. While he may be fully functional that doesn't necessarily imply that it is all at once. I think he has the ability to subtly, nay, must apply pleasure at a reasonable rate.

It’s kind of funny how naive their security protocols often are but that also goes to show how cynical and barbaric we’ve continued to become

Yeah that episode where they found a couple rich guys cryogenically frozen, and they treat the ship's comms system like an intercom for the butler, really showed there's a minimum level of competency expected of anyone (even non crew) on any star ship.

I just have a hard time believing a starship that is regularly full of children, civilians, and random alien passengers has zero security precautions in place for its intercom. The ship often has unprofessional individuals wandering the corridors.

Well it's the far flung future where they can have fully productive meetings that end in 3 minutes with the problem solved...so somewhere along the lines they could probably be able to tell kids don't push this button and fully expect those kids to not push that button 47 times per day

The kids on the Enterprise are likely more disciplined than the hooligans we see on DS9, that's for sure.

Why did you post a picture of a war hero and one of Earth's greatest authors?

There is an episode where Picard is turned into a child and he has trouble with the computer because it is set to "childproof mode". Maybe those kids aren't doing insane stuff with the technology because it recognizes their ages and locks them out of certain functions?

I think the childproofing was just because that terminal was in the daycare. As soon as Riker enabled the terminal it worked fine for command functions.

Quarter of a second to vent the atmosphere. And then however long meatbags survive in no atmosphere?

At some place in his life, Dr. Soong sketched, manufactured and manhandled an android cock. And he had to make sure it works.

How quickly could he do it? Y’know… clear out the meatbags? | Spyke
