Cosy. Plus with room for more sprawl in warmer weather if required too, very nice.

$15 - $30 from the Reject shop. The $30 one was lush and big enough for me to curl up in.

Fam xmas over. Everything washed up and put away. Furniture back in correct place. Time for badedas bath and a glass of prosecco. I love them all dearly but whooboy it's hard work with 2 under 3 years old in the house. Good meal and talking tho. My oldest boy BROUGHT THE SAME GIRLFRIEND AS LAST YEAR! This is a first! Maybe he's settling down at last. Or has run out of options which might be more likely. Will wait and see.

I have spent the last hour trying to figure out how lazy I am today. I have decided I'm not too lazy to go get lunch in the city ๐Ÿ‘

Two chairs (office chair and comfy chair) and one of two plant shelves constructed. Am tired. Taking break before the last push.

::: spoiler rambles It very weird spending money on new things. I have spent my adult life thrifting but have also realised that making a one bedroom apartment function needs just the right things. And I am actually pretty impressed with the IKEA quality. And it will be nice for my plants to have a home in the sun and be able to sit among them. :::

January's edition of Healthy Food Guide magazine has a 4 week beginner workout plan and a 4 week challenge plan for active bodies. I recommend this mag for anyone who wants to change some not so good habits into good ones.

Thanks! I have been wanting to find an easy way back into exercise without going to the gym. I like a plan because the thinking about what to do blocks me.

and who is going to clean the pantry and fridge out and remove "evil" foods

what about the other people in the family and their needs

who is going to do the shopping

who is going to cook and serve

( I say this as someone who has drastically changed their diet the past year, you can't underestimate how difficult it is, I don't want a challenge, it's not a competition, it needs to be easy )

Woah. I'll try and answer some of these questions best I can.

Why are you throwing out food because it's "evil"? No such thing. Buy 2 savoury snacks and 2 sweet snacks and when you've eaten those replace them or not.

Think of every space in your pantry and fridge as prime real estate. Do you want to waste space on stuff you think you might need or actually use? You're not a supermarket. You don't need to stock everything all at once.

My post was about exercise not diet but there is recipes in the mag as well as the latest research, healthier options and quick meals. They often feature articles on meals for dietary needs.

The reason I spruik this magazine is because I never want it to go out of print. The recipes use everyday ingredients that you probably already have.

You are right. Sorry.

I should have taken my time to post and not make a neg knee jerk reaction to a positive thing

You are forgiven โค๏ธ

Sometimes we need the next step, motivation or a restart. I certainly do.

Give yourself some credit because I've seen your food posts and not only are you not buying takeaway you are making reserves for another time. There's 2 positives there. Anything is better than takeaway.

Super productive day tackling tasks that only get done on holidays. Cleaned out and reorganised the pantry, found foods buried in there with embarrassingly old use by dates. Cleaned the fridge and freezer out as well, pulled out all the shelves / compartments and washed them. Also patched up some wall plaster movements cracks that appeared like more than a year ago and stare me in the face every day, just needs to paint the affected areas tomorrow. Iโ€™ve never done this DIY fix before so hopefully it works once I paint. I am not handy at all but I try. Even fit in some exercise too. Thatโ€™s enough for today, now I chill.

::: spoiler spoiler Jaysus. Iโ€™m worrying about everyone else around me but itโ€™s really me whoโ€™s not coping.

Living where I am is still taking a toll and Iโ€™ve had a string of major life events that would throw anyone. Things that need to happenโ€ฆ may not. It feels like nothing is ever going to be okay again. :::

Which calls for a rave choon.

Y'know, 'cause "Florence And The Machine" = " FATM"

Went to Highpoint today. Note to self: avoid major shopping centres anywhere near Boxing Day sales. Kmart looked it'd been pillaged by the Hun. Everywhere there were kids screaming like their parents were being murdered in front of them. We'd find something one of us liked but then not in the right size etc. It was busy even for that place. My anxiety prone elder minipeeler hit the limit of his tolerance for that kind of thing even though it was his idea to go in the first place. I felt similarly and I called time on it. What was I thinking? ๐Ÿคฆ๐Ÿผโ€โ™€๏ธ

I feel sorry for the poor workers who have to tidy up the ladies shoe department. That shits grim.

Isn't it awful! And in shops like Uniqlo where everything is always so neatly folded, having to go around and endlessly refold everything.

Did the Lego star wars exhibition at the museum today. E kids are a bit young for star wars but they enjoyed it anyway. I haven't kept up with all the shows or watched the last movie so it can feel weird to see Lego sets and characters I don't know. I'm so used to seeing rehashed Lego sets from the same 6 movies as they try milk everything they can from the franchise

I have averaged 2 hours of naps per day since Christmas Eve.

The Spanish have figured out life centuries ago.

Been super productive and slightly buzzed all the time.

I had my family Christmas today. I was given some yoghurt treats for Mr Woof and a kitty bag of left over salmon for Miss Meow. They were very well received.

Westgate Bridge roadworks added over an hour to the trip heading east, but only about 10 mins coming back the other way. I am definitely glad to be out of the car now.

I picked up my new vaccuum cleaner this morning, but I don't think I can be bothered unpacking it tonight, that can be a tomorrow thing.
