Dude, those are the best fucking saddles, I don't care what anyone says. I rode from San Francisco to LA on that during the pandemic and still have it.

Enjoy and go far!

Nice! I'm still pretty new to cycling, but I'm looking forward to getting some longer rides in as time goes by.

Patented fart ventilation channel with sacksweat cooling intake.

You joke but I'm pretty sure the channel is literally for prostate health

People underestimate how comfy these seats are! Even without padded shorts you can get so much further without chafing if your seat has the cutout.

You've tried with padded shorts as well? Because description says they're designed to use without those. I'm curious about experience with.

If you want to have any flesh left between the saddle and your pelvis when doing 50 mile rides, you'll want the padding!

Yeah, I do that but am looking to do a bit more intense of an event and an looking for something extra. So you've tried this particular saddle or some other gelled with padded shorts?

2

I almost always ride with a cutout saddle and with padded shorts. The main thing you get extra from this type of saddle and the shorts is not being distracted by a painful taint.

I don't race, but I keep an alright pace on road routes. When in season and I'm focusing on cycling more than running I'm usually doing 60-100k rides every fortnight or so.

Of you ride regularly you build up butt muscle and don't notice a hard seat as much.

Maybe I've got my fit wrong, but I don't think I've got more muscle between my buttocks. Definitely get slightly calloused though 😬

1

I have this type seat pictured, I found it pushed on my butt bones, but after months of riding the muscle built up provided cushion. I think many people have the nose tilted too high so it jabs your groin

1

Your butt moves with your legs so the padding in the shorts moves with you. Padding on the seat chafes and rubs against you. A padded seat can get you pretty far but a proper chamois is important for long distance. And often even more important is bike fit.

This is so overstated imo. I do more than 200 miles a week in normal work clothes just fine, and have done many 50 miles rides without padded shorts. I honestly think they make it worse, but maybe I'm just weird.

Does that slot work as a cock rest when riding naked? Must be comfortable.

Having seen that picture of the guy with his plums stuck in a slatted deckchair, do not sit on this while in the nip.

18

Not a lot of opportunities to ride naked where I'm at, but I'll try to remember this as sort of general safety information.

Manufacturer does not condone nude usage

Looks like a nice ride though!

It keeps my weight further back on my sittin' bones rather than on the ol' gooch and associated bits, and that's where the padding is thickest on the seat. But everybody's built different.

I liked riding bikes when I was younger, but it wasn't until I was much older and finally got a bike that fit me properly that I found it was something I really enjoy and look forward to every day. A decent saddle, positioned well, makes a world a difference. Enjoy the miles!

Ooh, I love that style of saddle. Very comfy. I'd rather not replace it, but I think that the rails might be getting a little bent. It took a pretty nasty hit during a crash last month.

If you look at it the right way it's like a particularly sexy dog butt.
