To be super clear — I'm 100% not saying it is fraudulent. This could be as simple as “Some work was intended to be done, it wasn't, other work was done instead, and the expense description was not updated”.

This is common in small projects, I would say.

The answers and reactions of those admins is incredibly fishy tho, and I don't really see a good ending to all that with what's been documented.

There are a few other good options, I guess the good bits of the code can be pulled over?

On mobile Tusky is basically the gold standard for Mastodon clients. There are some other clients, but I didn't fine one as good as Tusky. I guess I'll switch to the Elk PWA since I already use Elk on desktop - but this depends on an official Reply from Tusky regarding the blog post.

Ah ok yea I haven't used it in a while, partially because I barely used Mastodon (never used twitter). I've been using the official Mastodon app when I needed to.

I'll look more into it :)

It's alpha software but works very well. I did not encounter any issues.

The official Mastodon app to me feels clumsy and outdated. Not a good experience at all for me. I can't pinpoint it, though. Just my personal opinion.

Ah ok I see

I heard they updated it recently (so if you haven't tried it in a bit you could), but again I'm going off the experience of other people. I didn't use it enough to get a feel from it.

Also check out moshidon. Been using it since I joined Mastodon recently and am liking it.

Elk is great on desktop and especially to write an answer.

Husky is a fork of Tusky. Probably better than just adding Tusky features to existing clients.

I’d like to hear the other side too, but it’s hard to imagine there’s no foul play at all.
