I am not sure of the real name but I have always known this as wild garlic. It grows like a weed in the springtime on the edge of the bayous in south Texas.
I get a ton of this near creeks in my area too. It's delicious, but watch out for a poisonous lookalike (not smellalike) that can grow in the same spots.
