Not only did an Israeli border officer put their hands on a Canadian Liberal MP, Iqra Khalid, as has already been reported. But it turns out that, according to NDP Jenny Kwan, Iqra Khalid was shoved multiple times, by two separate Israeli border officials.

Israelis should not be welcome in any civilized country.

But they stand for so much... like real estate... and murder... and other fun things

This is kind of a non-story. "Border guards in foreign country exercise whatever authority is granted to them". Just because they're Canadian MPs they're supposed to get special treatment? Isreal is a hostile piece of shit. Why are they even going there?

I think the message is if you willing do this to members representing leadership in a foreign country, imagine what it is like when people don't have a voice or status

I think the bigger question mark from me, is just.... why are our taxes sending MP delegations of like 30 MPs + staff off to Israel?

Feels like a waste of money to me. We can see with relative certainty the conditions there, based on reports from EU sources and the UN. At this point, they're not tending to 'pretend' its all good. Like these aren't even majority-party MPs, but minority parties with very little say in the house, who represent ridings that have almost nothing tying them to Israel. Businesses/the economy is sputtering back at home guys, maybe spend some more of your focus there.

The trip was sponsored by a non-profit. Either way though, I'm fine with someone I voted for to represent me heading over there. It's not like the government as a whole is doing anything meaningful. Their trip is at least an effort at a humanitarian connection.

But to what end? They have no interest in actual outcomes, unless the outcome is the eradication of all that stands in the way of land

-2

I don't believe that to be true of the MPs that made this trip. It's certainly not true of all of them.

Where is John Wick with diplomatic immunity when you need him?

Canada seriously needs diplomats who know significant levels of mixed martial arts and other forms of defence. And then we need to attach them to groups like this.

Officers like that desperately need to be made to eat their truncheons. Preferably sideways.

You’re not entitled to enter a foreign country. A border guard has the right to use force to prevent you from entering.

Did you read the article or watched the video? There is a huge difference between denying entry and shoving an official that we elected to represent us. They are basically spitting on our face as a country while feeling entitled to receive our support to continue their massacre. Every country should had cut ties with Israel long ago.

The video doesn’t show any recording of what happened at the border.

A group tried to get entry into a foreign country, were rejected, and then got confrontational, resulting in two people being shoved. Nobody got injured.

you say there is no video so we dont really know what happened and then you proceed to tell me what "really happened", sure buddy

I‘m not telling you what really happened. I‘m giving a short summary of the events described in the article and video itself.

that doesnt get even close to a summary, is just a shameless lie. The video explains the MPs did everything they were told to and shoved anyway.

I really hope you dont have to live what they are forced to live. You may find that others dont care about your child or welfare

Edit: Seen your comment history, I kinda hope you do as you seem to have zero empathy and love the death of those you dont know

This was not a refugee child fleeing war suffering.

It was an entitled and pushy activist being shoved.

You reached the end
