Had our first game in over a year yesterday
Finally able to carve out time for six of us to meet up (half of us ended up having to take a day off work because weekends are so packed these days).
The new Thunder’s Edge adds a ton of great stuff and the new races are weird and fun! A couple of buddies and I coordinated 3d printing a whole raised map and it was really handy for getting a bit more table space plus elevating (heh) the playing feel.
Last Bastion ended up getting a round five action victory after pulling off a two point objective with Imperial and then surprise having two action phase Secret Objectives to get the last two points. Great game, hoping we can make it a quarterly thing going forward.
Woah I don't know what I'm looking at it but it looks impressive! (randomly scrolled past this on my feed)
Haha thanks, it’s an absolutely bonkers scale board game. Took us a couple hours to set up as we had a new expansion to integrate in, and then eight hours to play. It’s super fun but also such an all day experience.
Nice!
My group is scheduled to play our first Thunder's Edge game over the holidays. Looks like we're going to need a bigger table though!
It's a really fun expansion that adds some weird new stuff, you're going to have a great time! And yeah we're thinking next time it'll be in the garage with two Warhammer 40k tables we have pushed together so we can get a bit more table space.
