Coffee and weed, but it’s only 7am and I haven’t started work yet.

In an hour or two, I’ll have my usual leftover quesadilla. Whatever leftovers in the fridge, I add cheese, tortilla, and Cholula sauce then toast for 3-4 minutes. Leftover roasted broccoli quesadillas are a favorite of mine.

I was out of shredded cheese, so I had half a pack of ritz crackers and some barley tea instead.

The quesadillas are real good though

Making me reminisce on tacos and quesadillas. I haven't had those in 9 years. Not a common dish this side. Will definitely make them at home sometime this month.

I hope you enjoy them! I live in an area where tacos and quesadillas are everywhere, but my leftover quesadillas are a lot cheaper and I don’t have to leave home to eat them lol

That's nice. I Googled cholula sauce. It looks very hot and potent 😆. I love me a hot sauce. Here in Malawi, we have a local sauce called Kambuzi.

2

Thankfully, Cholula is not too hot! It has a kick and a Smokey flavor, but it’s more on the medium side of spicy.

Two fried eggs, an orange, a banana, a piece of naan, and coffee.

Plain naan? I need more flavours with naan, at least some butter.

The package says garlic naan, but basically plain, yes. Just warmed up in the toaster. I wipe up stray egg yolk for sauce.

5

I had a Bowl of baked oats, nuts and seeds mixed with some blueberries, one half of a pear, unflavored yoghurt and some apple-apricot puree. And a cup of coffee to drink.

I haven't seen a proper cucumber in so long that this pic is making me sad. I had completely forgotten that cucumbers aren't supposed to have white flesh with a green tinge.

Also, I'm extra sad because I tried to eat one for lunch and they've both gone bad, fed to the pig.

More of an early lunch by the time I got around to eating, but homemade chili con carne with gluten free cornbread topped with freshly-chopped red onion and green jalapeno. Freshly-shredded cheddar cheese to top it off.

Oh look at Mr. Paid Utility Bill over here with his running water. /s

A liquid breakfast meal made of various grains and legumes. It's a traditional drink called sattu. Keeps me going until dinner if need be.

3

I tried skipping breakfast (intermittent fasting), but that didn't work for me. Felt terrible and gained weight.

Causa rellena warmed up cold and three digestive biscuits and about 5 cups of tea

I think this thread requires some balancing, so...

One Thomas' English muffin with butter, a chobani low carb yogurt, cup of coffee with a little milk.

Yes, American.

2

Oat banana blueberry bake with pecans, dragonwell green tea, and a spicy vegan sausage patty

Same thing I've had almost every day for the last ten years. A bowl of frosted Mini-wheats.

2

I eat cereal about once a month and frosted mini wheats is what it always is. So basic and good.

I remember during like highschool and middle school, my dad would cook stuff like:

  • Noodles such as 牛肉麵 but sometimes with the beef replaced with 牛肉丸 or sometimes its bacon or sometimes its just 煎蛋 fried eggs, like it'd be mixed up and salted then pan-fried, or sometimes just pan-fried without mixing it, which my dad called 荷包蛋
  • 煎餅

Sometimes they're busy or at work so I had cereal with milk from the refrigerator a few times, those "meals" are kinda sad and lonely tbh, lack the "warmth" of parents caring for you, know what I mean?

Also I saw my older brother drinking straight from the container of milk like a fucking selfish savage (ewww saliva wtf), so from then on, unless its freshly unopened, I sus all of the milk.

Sometimes its just some snackbars.

Sometimes I'd be late for school and just have no breakfast except like have some snack bars in my bookbag.

In NYC, I remember my dad was much more busyer than in Philly, so I always just had school breakfast. As for when I don't have school and dad wasn't home? Idk don't remember mom making anything that tasted like real food, just cook rice and have a standard breakfast/lunch brunch I think? Or just the 包, simple, its just has to be steamed and its easy.

Before then, in China, no memories of breakfast... wasn't exactly memorable, probably just about the same things.

As for now? Idk sometimes stuff from the nearby Chinese bakery, sometimes, but not often, dimsum stuff from a small nearby restaurant (Dim Sum starts at like 9:30 AM so its more like brunch than breakfast), sometimes just random snacks as breakfast.

Sometimes if there's leftover food from the day before, that. But nowadays we don't do that anymore, kinda germaphobic, don't trust my brother to not tamper with stuff.

2

Your older brother should buy his own milk!

Cereals are indeed sad meals. I know that feeling.

All the Asian food you mentioned is amazing. I especially like 煎餅, I have had some success making it, should try again soon.

2

A cup of coffee and a small piece of licorice.

Your breakfast looks delicious! I need to get more hummus.

2

I stopped by Burger King on the way to work, since it’s all I really had/have time for. Just a bacon, egg, and cheese biscuit and a Coke Zero. Not great, I know, but it’s cheap and fills the hole.

About 2 egg whites, a bowl of cereal, coffee black with sucralose, and a banana

1

Sucralose because you want to avoid sugar?

I don’t put sugar in my coffee any more, and now I dislike the taste of coffee with sugar.

Egg whites for the taste? Or for health?
