Week 14 Poll Results (Finally) And Final Poll
Again, I believe that this is the premier National Poll and that we are about to crown a national champion. This week's poll will stay up at least through championship weekend as my expected reprieve is nowhere to be found.

Updated my algorithm to not "punish teams for playing in a conference championship": The championship winners get credit for winning, but losing those games doesn't affect a team's scoring...
Parentheses denote change in rank from the previous week:
Other conference champions:
29 - Kennesaw State (+8)
36 - Boise State
37 - Duke (+21)
50 - Western Michigan (+5)

Losers of championship games having "pseudo-records"
:::
Who would have guessed 2 years ago that Indiana would go on to be the empirically best team after championship week in just 2 years time?
Algorithm is a combination of team record and their "best win". No MoV, human influence, or previous season influence.
I was thinking about doing that for my algorithm. But at the same time, if you get absolutely embarrassed in your CCG (cough Bama & BYU cough), maybe your rating should drop at least a bit...
Here are my rankings for this week. I will hold off submitting a poll until the Championship games have been played.
No real surprises here. OSU retakes the top spot, Texas A&M drops, putting them on the bubble. Pitt, SMU, and ASU drop out of the Top 25, being replaced by Navy, USF, and Iowa. ND persists at #4.
If you used this to CFP seeding, the Top 10 all make it in, with North Texas and JMU over any ACC team.

And here's the poll after championship weekend. It's pretty harsh on the losers, even Ohio State, who only lost by 3 to an equal opponent... And Notre Dame sits there at #4.
Fun fact: If you run my algo in reverse chronological order, ND ends up at #15. It was kind of by design for more recent games to matter more, but I didn't expect THAT much difference. I might play with ways to reduce that effect in the future.

Hopefully I have time to sit down and count out the rivalry week pick 'em tonight. But either way we all know the championship weekend lineups, so start picking your picks in your head!
