Busted third rate actor wants gig in high paying franchise..
Feel as you might about Black Adam, Pierce Brosnan was Bond. I don't think he's a "busted third rate actor."
Brosnan was also the best part of the film. The film itself was also pretty good, minus the annoying "relatable" kid. Sure the DCEU died immediately after the film came out, but that was going to happen anyway. The Rock, perhaps with a bit of hubris, tried to take over a rudderless ship, meanwhile everyone else was jumping overboard.

He has been doing DTV trash for well over a decade..
