It's especially bizarre and frustrating to hear this one constantly too, because most other regions on this list have extensive sanction regimes placed by the UNSC, justified or not.
The real reason Gaza stands out here is the veto of any meaningful action on the part of the UN. The public outrage is in direct proportion to this institutional inertia.

The UAE (basically Israel) is knee deep in the Sudanese war.
I'm upset about all of these. I'm just more upset about Gaza because it's my own fucking tax dollars that fund the slaughter.
