Yes. If a 14 year old gets pregnant it's because she was weak willed; if a 50 year old man gets caught with a 14 year old girl it's because she seduced him.

How did this person's life work out? I would love to hear more about that story.
Well, they were adopted by an American couple who, for reasons I do not know, were in eastern Europe during the 90s buying babies. (I have no reason to think that there was any other reason than religious guilt.) This particular baby was sold at a steep discount because it was found on a train half dead, and was not expected to survive.
Flash forward several decades and they are reasonably stable. They are fine physically from what I know. They had some trouble with social interactions and anger management, which might have been related to a difficult start… But I think that was probably their odd religious family and addiction to social media.
Otherwise, they are very smart. They have a college degree in a science field. I haven’t spoken to them in a few years, but I have no reason to think they won’t have a better than average life.
