4Chan later adopted the little bear as warning that someone was posting child porn on messaging boards. It was only ever intended to take the piss out of pedos.
Then enter, the police. Utter morons who didnt know what was going on, and so just assumed it was a pedo mascot and if you were seeing him, it was like an alert to come and get child abuse images. So began the war, with the internet saying it was satire and mocking of pedos, and the dumb as fuck police saying it was celebrating pedos.
The funniest thing that ever happened around pedobear, was some dumb as fuck journalist that published one of the memes on the front page of his newspaper. Some guy has created the image to take the piss of the design of the 2010 Olympic mascots. The journalist did a web search, found the image and printed it... It was hilarious.
ITs funny that people take pedobear seriously. The idea that the whole world was laughing at child abuse, and not that it was laughing at how ridiculous the idea of being a pedo is... Its just weird.
