I need to know what wine he drank, those bottles must be tough as shit.

A corked bottle of wine is quite resistant to breaking. The cork keeps the air in so it has nowhere to go when the bottle is struck and pushes back against the external forces.

It's not uncommon for somebody to have difficulty breaking a Champaign bottle while christening a ship.

Yeah it usually takes a couple of hits to break the bottle against the ship, how many times do you think those bottles smashed against the ground as he fell 130 ft.

Clearly not enough times to break them, or at least none that were too hard. Considering he only suffered "minor injuries" I don't see how it's beyond comprehension that the bottles survived intact.

Dude got to celebrate that KOM descent with wine. Absolute Chad.
