ECW Founder Tod Gordon Hospitalized
ECW founder Tod Gordon is currently hospitalized and has been for some time, according to his family.
Gordon’s family posted the following statement on social media:
From the Family of Tod:
We wanted to share that, Tod Gordon, is currently in the hospital and has been for some time. If you’ve reached out and haven’t heard back, please know he’s not ignoring anyone – he’s just focusing on his health right now.
While he is unable to receive visitors, we appreciate all your love, support, and prayers during this time. Please keep him in your thoughts.
Gordon founded ECW (Eastern Championship Wrestling) in 1992. The company changed its name to Extreme Championship Wrestling in 1994. Gordon sold the promotion to Paul Heyman in 1995.

Imagine if this man hadn't decided to put his money into Eastern Championship Wrestling when TWA folded. There's a high probability that Paul E Dangerously never gets his shot at booking, never gets the chance to take control and go with the Extreme version of ECW, which would mean WCW never steals the cruiserweights and WWF never finds its "Attitude." Tod Gordon should get some more credit than he does.
