I watched more Chinese drama about WW2 (resistance against japanese imperialism) and HK TV Cop shows about criminals, murders, and even a show about terrorism (from a counter-terrorist perspective), before I even saw my first porn video.
Like literally you can watch a whole scene about a massacre during war, but god forbid if two gay men holds hands.
I would just say that going to a conservative event during summer, you'd see plenty of men open carrying boobs.
