I mean, in terms of abhorrent future nazi hellscape merch, gotta say, it's a decent design.

I was thinking the opposite, it looks atrocious. Something like this would be better imo

Stop helping them

I mean, you're right, but I hate that it's better

I mean, the swastika is just a cool looking logo, and it really sucks that some douchebags had to ruin it for everyone else, but such is life.

Feel the same as you that flag looks dumb as hell. Better than the official American Nazi Party (it exists!) it's just a Nazi flag with a blue dot in the middle ... Dumb AF

The predecessor to them, the ones that were around in the time for Hitler and held the huge Madison Square rally, the German American Bund party - they had a way better flag.

Check this out, it goes hard. Fuck Nazis, only good Nazi is a dead Nazi, but I think this flag does look cool at least

The swastika design makes me think of Art Deco skyscraper. Pretty cool

Is a man not entitled to the sweat of his brow? 'No!' says the man in Washington, 'It belongs to the poor.' 'No!' says the man in the Vatican, 'It belongs to God.' 'No!' says the man in Moscow, 'It belongs to everyone.' I rejected those answers; instead, I chose something different. I chose the impossible. I chose... Rapture…

Oh no! Now he's been outed as the horrible person he is he will be driven out of his job?

Oh wait, no... Just a few people will post some memes and shit and nothing will change.

At least the real nazis had some sense of art style, this thing looks shit. I almost expect it to have "hail hortler" next to it.

Cut them some slack, it was probably the best they could do editing the flag on mobile

Schrodinger's Sincerity.

If it goes over well, it was sincere and you should shut up and get out of the way.

If it doesn't, it was just a joke or sabotage and you should shut up and get over it.

Is it a political photo meant to invoke an emotional response? Yes, it is. And to me that says 99.9999999% chance it is photoshopped.

White women and pick me women. Please stop fucking these clowns. That way they die out.

The flag was obviously altered which is being intentionally left out or buried in the majority of posts.

To say they "proudly" displayed when it's still unknown who actually put it there or manipulated the flag in an open cubicle of a staffer is just weird.

I don't understand why people are downvoting you. The image really looks edited. The artifacting of the red color everywhere else bleeds into the white, except there where the swastika is? That's what you'd get from an image that has been compressed multiple times, with the white spaces being added in in between

I looked up the story. They misspelled his name twice, it's actually Angelo Elia. Doesn't lend a lot of credibility. I found a bunch of news articles on it, with Taylor's office acknowledging and condemning the image, but it doesn't sound like there has been any verification the flag actually exists. Just this singular image

As much as the Republican party is the home of neo-Nazis in America, they're not at the point of openly displaying swastikas. I'm going to have to wait for more information before forming a final opinion here

Looks to me like the image itself wasn't edited, but they used red and white tape on the flag.

It makes it seem like it was edited, but it was physically edited.

This was also my assumption. You can faintly see where the vertical white strips starts on both the bottom and top (See Zoomed Image for Reference). You can also faintly see the horizontal red bleed through the white vertical line which indicates to me that this was a physical alteration. Given the slight shadow casted by the bottom white vertical, and the neatness of the lines - I would assume that this was done with what is typically referred to as a Page Flag/Marker.
