Why does my ereader lose contrast with small changes after a long time on one page?
I have a Sony PRS-505. Recently i noticed that if i leave it on with a book open the contrast stays sharp, but then making it change something small like pressing a volume key or removing a bookmark makes the contrast suddenly worse until i turn to a different page. Why does the contrast get worse all at once instead of slowly degrading over the hours it's left on a page?

But not consistently. I just plugged it in to charge after not using since last night and though part of the screen (the battery indicator) updated, contrast remained fine. Weird.
