Weird to jump the gun like that. Should probably have waited a bit till you're 100% sure. I guess there must be huge pressure to re-gain control of the narrative right now. This has rattled them for sure. Will it lead to less violent and aggressive rhetoric in politics? Sure would be nice...
Its because they don’t want this to emotionally hijack the narrative.
Quite possibly they captured the kid from the stairwell photos, but I'm not convinced yet he's the shooter. Notably, no gun in the photo and no way a long rifle fits in that backpack.
