I know this is a long shot
But my lil buddy of 12y is missing for 6 days now. He's indoor/outdoor, so not a pushover that gets scared easily. Prevailing assumption is he's trapped somewhere. I'm hitting the streets and visiting the shelters too, bit I want to cast as wide a net as I can to get him back home. I'm just not ready to lose him yet.
I wish you the best of luck in finding them
<3 from PA, hope you find him
Ive heard that placing his litter box outside tour house may help him find his way home.
Best of luck for his safe return.
I've heard this, too, but he doesn't use it. He exclusively uses the bathroom outside 😕
I'd put food out for him, but we've had raccoons coming through lately, too. Pretty sure they already got what we put out for him a few days ago
Putting out your dirty laundry can help too. He knows your smell. My friends cat wondered out, then it rained and he couldn't find his way home. He showed up after they put the laundry out (4 days later) he was all oily like he'd been hiding in car parts, but was fine. Is he chipped? That can help if someone finds him and takes him to a shelter or vets
That's a good idea, I'll try putting a few things out. There is a bed of his that stays on the porch, too. Hopefully his own scent will help.
I have made sure to go to the nearby vet and the shelters for the area. The primary one for where I live had a form I was able to fill out and upload a photo to so they could check any new intakes against it.
