Alrighty. First song completely memorized no issue.

Taking a break for an hour then hitting the 2nd song. It's not that hard just has some tricky right hand rhythm parts.

Then rehearsal tonight. I want to walk in there completely confident in my playing!

12

Welcome back Yarrabyte! I was beginning to wonder if you and Botbot had run away to sea, or maybe taken up a Life of Crime.

12

Yeah I can hear both the songs in my head now without looking at the guitar.

Success!

2 and a half fucking hours repeating the same 2 songs until they're locked into muscle memory.

This is what happens when you don't practice every day like you promised yourself you would lol

Dad called me upset that someone had stolen his delivery. Congrats arseholes, you have yourselves a month's supply of doggie insulin. It's totally useless to you.
Except that it cost dad $530, and it needs to be chilled. So even if you return it tomorrow, it's no good for the dog.

(It'll probably be covered by contents insurance because the delivery driver left a photo of it on the doorstep, but even $200 excess is not a trivial amount for a pensioner in his 80s)

Surely if life saving meds are being delivered it's up to the company to make sure they are actually safely delivered into people's hands. Doorstep is not good enough.

6
Nathreply

From the way he was talking it sounded like it was a routine delivery until it wasn't there.

3

I hate thieves. Imagine stealing insulin. Hoping your dad manages the costs

Am highly amused by Bob Katter Streisanding himself today. I didnโ€™t know he had Lebanese heritage until now, although I reckon all the Lebanese aussies will be thinking oh god, no

Is that your first time to the Louvre?

It's very very big, plan your trip, determine which galleries you want to visit โ˜บ๏ธ

also, every cafe within 250m is full of grifters, pickpockets, dodgy food and gigolos.

Yeah first time. Been to Italy a bit but not France. I am very excited ๐Ÿ˜†. Not so much about the pickpockets but the gigilos ๐Ÿ˜

I just wanna put it on record that the thick, curly, shower drain clogging head of hair my daughter inherited did not come from me. Pulling what looks like dead rodents out is gut churning. I need a strong mind altering drink.

In all honesty she does have beautiful envious hair.

My apologies if you're eating lunch.

Shower drain clean up is my least favourite chore and I'm the only in the house who has the stomach for it.

I call it 'Wookie fetus extraction'

I don't give it a name but I do give myself a pep talk as I'm digging in there. puppies and kittens and sunshine and rainbows and roses and I hope it fits through the hole and keep your mouth closed and try not to puke.

I wear rubber gloves and have a disposal bag at the ready. Only see it for a brief moment and then it's gone from eyesight.

For the smell, when cleaning bathrooms, I'll wear a facemask or buff (leftover from lockdown days)

4

Gloves are a must for me too. I use paper towel to extract it off the wand and into the bag.

I got that little drain filter dish on so it never blocks

Cut through it then pour some citric acid down there so you don't need to deal with it at all

Had a nice catch up with some old friends after work. Very cold out. Decided to try a new dish, hand pulled dry noodles with lamb tripe, chilli, garlic, capsicum etc. way better than I thought it would be. The tripe was really clean tasting and really chewy and springy. Pleasantly spicy. Company was a lot of fun. Had some good laughs, serotonin went boing.

Tempers flaring around the office today, can we just not? Furthermore, I'm putting a ban on all "heyyyy, I've got a weird one for you" requests until my successor comes in next week.

7

โ€œHey Iโ€™ve got a weird one for you, can you do my job so I fuck around on my phone? Thanks! Youโ€™re the best!โ€

5

If youโ€™re interested in what can be done with electronic musicians and a singer songwriter, try this.

Thereโ€™s a live in studio clip on YouTube which is incredible.

Might take some of my industrial tracks and shop them around for a singer.

I found the sound of an old fashioned alarm clock to be a bit too alarming.

Iโ€™ve been alternating between apple and ginger tea, and raspberry tea, all day.

Five huge mugs deep, Iโ€™m quite glad I chose caffeine free options

adulting has been done, visited a physio to get an appt/program to get pt for strength building in my legs because of my sciatica. I'm great at walking, not so great at anything else, Hard to get appts, they are so booked out!

Benefit of not really vibing with anyone in the office, is that I get a solid amount of work done.

So much, in fact, that I'm a few days ahead. Today and tomorrow should be very cruisy for me and from the comfort of my own home.

Biggest cons for me would be having to eat mutton. And access to medical care.

Everything else seems blissful?

With days getting warmer I've been thinking of getting cheap fishing shirts to wear on the bike. They're full sleeved and made of sun resistant material. Get ones with sensible colours on them and you could even get away with wearing them in the office.

5
SaneMartiganreply

Have a look at golf shirts too. They've got a good combo of needing to look sharp and be able to be exercised in.

3

I'll look out for them too. Golf shirts might look a bit more professional than most fishing shirts do

another day scared witless by the news ๐Ÿ˜ญ

do youse guys remember me posting a video last week

"under authoritarian rule everyday life seems normal"

4

Itโ€™s been a miserable news week. Porpunkah, bus crash, Iranian religious attacks in Australia, shooting in US. And the ongoing wars in Ukraine and Palestine, and everything else. I like to keep informed but sometimes itโ€™s better to just switch off for awhile.

Tony Zaret has put out another video and lets just save I've re-evaluated it in 2025 and it's a subversive underrated masterpiece.

I've shown my girlfriend a few of his videos as she's an Adult Animated Film watcher and the latest hits that demographic again.
