I save names in RAM, but there simply isn't enough to keep them there long enough to be copied to long term storage if literally anything else is added.
The best feeling is when you know someone for some time, and you forgot their name, but it turns out thay they forgot yours as well, so you can introduce each other once again, and you feel less awkward.
I can't remember a name to save my life. Unless its a wrong name. Then its cemented in my brain and I will forever call them the wrong name.

I save them to a continuous magnetic tape loop that's constantly being rewritten. Maybe I'll remember when the time comes, or I just won't at all.
Turns out I’ve been GDPR-compliant all along.
I am totally using that in the future, even of it isn't a name.
