Oh yeah the only time it works for me while walking the dog is if my wife comes too and she does the actual dog part; it'd be a disaster otherwise

One thing I hate is all the recycling. I only have the one bucket and it all goes in the garbage but its like as much as I hate it its better than it being strewn about.

2

Yeah although I'm at least lucky in that regard as all the parks in my city do offsite sorting for recycling, so I can dump everything in park garbage bins and it'll at least still get sorted.

Out of curiosity, what is the purpose of the rope handle? Easier to pour out than the wire one, maybe?

The tiny metal handle hurts like shit. The rope has much more surface area to spread the load over a larger area -> less pressure.

Plus it holds the bucket at a nicer angle so you don't need to bend your other wrist as much to put the litter in

5

It's comfier to hold onto while walking around, and it helps hold the bucket at a bit more of an angle for easier dropping stuff into it. The only issue with it is I leave the bucket around the side of our house and the rope is pretty gross right now, by the time I'm home all I want to do is wash my hands haha.

Edit - yeah exactly as the other replies said!

It's really cool that you're doing this. I think you've inspired me to start in my area and hopefully even inspire others to do the same.

3

Heck yeah, do it! It'll give you those good feels, and it's such an immediate nice before/after visual

3

My city has teenagers walking around picking up trash and changing garbage bins out. I have never seen that in a park during the day, full on employees. We have some of the nicest parks and it’s no surprise

I used to do this. You just reminded me that it's been years since I have. I'm going to do this again.

You reached the end
